Interview with Bri Azmoudeh

Bri Azmoudeh is an actress and producer, known for The Doll Web Series (2014), Automaton Transfusion (2006) and Dark Hours: Typee (2016).

1.For the people who don’t know you , who are you and what do you do ?

My name is Bri Azmoudeh and I am an actress and a writer.

2.When did you decide you wanted to become an actress?

 I was in middle school in 6th grade when my mother was watching “All My Children”which is a soap opera and I saw Michelle on-screen . It was so fascinating to me the way she expressed herself while portraying her character. Also, with theater, I felt like I could be anyone and could do anything I wanted to do. When I went on stage the first time I felt like I could just be so that’s what really got me into the whole industry.

3.What are some projects that you worked on?

I was in a feature film recently,it hasn’t been released yet but it is called Dark Hours:Typee. It was shot with six different directors and six different writers.Another project of mine is The Doll Web Series which has an interesting story behind it.My mother has been collecting Barbie Dolls my whole life and she has a Barbie Club . They actually got to host the 2013 Barbie Convention. When I wanted to write a show, this came to mind and The Doll Web Series came to life.

4.What would your dream role be ?

I want to play a complicated , well written character. Maybe something in a Tim Burton film. I always admired his work.

5.Who would you like to work with in the future ?

Patty Jenkins who directed Wonder Woman.She is so talented and the way she directed “Wonder Woman” was so beautifully done.

6.What is one quote that you live by ?

“Be true to who you are.” No one is you so no one can do what you do . Always bet on yourself.

7.What advice do you have for aspiring actors ?

Figure out what works for you. Acting is all about listening and it has so many branches. Some people like theater others like acting on a Tv show. By figuring out what suits you best ,you insure your success.

8.What are some of your favorite TV shows and movies ?

Shows I grew up on that really stuck with me would have to be “Six feet Under”,”Buffy The Vampire Slayer” and “The Office”. I also like old shows like “Mr. Bean”and some new ones like “The Magicians”, “Black Mirror”and “Parks & Recreation”.

9.What is the best experience you had as an actor so far ?

Producing my own project.I gave it my all, I even invested my own money in it .

10.What is one thing that people might not know about you?

I just wrote a rap recently , for a skit.

11.Do you have anything to say to your supporters ?
