Review:

Before I even begin, I want to tell you that I wasn’t really into modern poetry before this book, but Milk & Honey changed my opinion on how I view poetry as I am a huge fan of poems now.

The book is divided into four parts: the hurting, the loving , the breaking and the healing. It really depends on what point in your life you are as each part will resonate with you differently. My favorite part was the healing but all four  were wonderful !

What I love so much about this book is the fact that Rupi Kaur writes from experience and the book has strong feelings towards gender equality and confidence ! Plus, all of the poems are accompanied by beautiful drawings that complete Rupi Kaur’s writing .Her writing style is so unique and ,honestly ,so beautiful. She manages to transmit so much emotion with such few words and she puts her life on paper in hope that her advice will heal or comfort the reader !

To conclude , this book is a true piece of art ! Whether you are a newbie in the world of poetry or you have read them for a long time , this book is for you ! Every word is carefully picked and , even though it is a quick read and you can finish it in half an hour, the emotions that take life in your soul last for a long time ! This collection of poems is a must for every poetry reader out there !
