Interview with Denisa Dinu

Denisa Dinu is a content creator from Romania most notably known for her comedy videos on Facebook on her page “Denisa Dinu”. She hopes to keep making content and eventually publish a book, becoming a full-time author.

1. For the people who might not know you, who are you and what do you do?

Well, my full name is Emanuela Denisa Dinu. People call me Denisa, my friends Deni or Den. It depends, haha. Mom calls me “Țucurel”, I love it! I am 20 years old, they say I’m an online influencer but I don’t like how it sounds. I would say a random girl with a bunch of followers, who is trying to make others laugh, smile and believe in a better place in this world. Sounds cliché, isn’t it? I am a proud Christian and Romanian at the same time. I love my country. I’m studying Law school, second year. Until now, everything goes well! I am super excited about everything. Let’s see what the future will bring me!

2. When did you start creating content?

My very first time when I created content was when I was only 14 years old. I used to post my videos in a group of One Direction’s fans. Pretty crazy, I know. After one year and a half, I posted my first video on my new page, called by then Deni’s World. I changed the name a few months ago to Denisa Dinu.

3. What has been your biggest accomplishment so far?

It’s hard to say! It depends on how you see it. I am a lucky girl! I have a wonderful family, I am so proud of my parents and I feel blessed about the way they raised me. I got baptized 2 years ago; I have my very best friends, my lovely sister, and my brother-in-law. I have my cat. These are my accomplishments. I don’t have only one. I can’t decide! But let’s say that I am a big dreamer and I have a long list of “to do’s”.

4. What are some of your favorite movies or series that everyone should watch?

I am a big fan of drama movies. I really recommend you to watch drama movies based on a true story! It has a great impact on you! I am at that age where I prefer to watch something and I can learn from. So!!! Let’s see: For sure The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas( Such a good movie) and In time( it’s a drama too, but more action I would say). I have many movies which I really like, so hard to say.

5. What are some books that changed your life?

I do believe that a book can help you through your problems or through your whatever, but I don’t think a book can change you! I mean, it can help you, but you need more than a book so you can change something about your life. I read many books, when I was little I didn’t read that much, but in the last few years, I am very happy because I put a lot of time in this hobby and it helped me. Of course, it depends on what you are reading. I fully recommend “LOVE LIKE YOU’VE never been hurt before”, “the attitude is everything”. I really enjoyed the “Eve” trilogy, but I can’t say it changed me or it helped me. You got the idea! I am a big fan of Agatha Christie too. She’s my favorite!

6. Speaking of books, you disclosed that you want to write a book of your own. Can you give us any details about that?

Yes! I am writing a book and I thought I will finish it by now but I was wrong! I don’t want to force the plot, even if I know its ending but hope it will be finished sooner than you think, haha! Anyways, the plot, from my point of you, is very out of nowhere. I don’t want to give any details just yet.

7. What are some causes that are dear to your heart and hope to bring more awareness to?

I am very sick of the Romanian problem with the stray dogs. Every day I see a new dead puppy on the street and it makes me feel kind of sad, actually very sad! I hate it! I know there are bigger problems which we need to confront, such as the lack of hospitals our country has, but I would love to have, in the near future, a shelter for dogs. I really do!

8. What is a piece of advice you would give to your younger self?

Do not listen to everyone’s advice! Trust God’s voice! with your prayers, nothing will be wrong!

9. What do you have in mind for the future?

I want to finish law school and I want to have my master degree in England. I want to be a writer as a full-time job.

10. Who are some people who inspire you?

This list is so short tho, I don’t know why! I think life, in general, it inspires me, with the people in it, the people I meet and this is the craziest thing: you don’t know who really inspires you until you remember about them at one point. Hope you got the idea.

11. Do you have something to say to the people who support you and your content?

I am more than blessed! I feel grateful for every person who is following me and supports me! Thank you for understanding me every time I had a problem, I am a human after all and just because I have a specific number of followers it doesn’t mean we are not the same. My community is very special to me because I grew up with it! We grew up together!

Thank you so much to Denisa for agreeing to the interview. I am so happy I got to do an interview with such a kind person and a fellow Romanian. You can check her and her work out on:
